Michael T. Ostrander, CTO

Michael T. Ostrander (Mike) is the CTO of Health Care DataWorks, Inc., an Ohio State University Technology Commercialization company.  He is also the manager and lead architect of The Ohio State University Medical Center’s Information Warehouse and Research Information Systems Data Management team, a data warehouse combining all aspects of the operations of a modern health care delivery system.  As Senior Vice President of HCD, he is delivering solutions developed and proven at OSUMC to leading health care organizations around the world.  In his role at OSUMC, he leads a team of analysts and developers enhancing and maintaining one of the largest health care data warehouses, moving large volumes of data in both batch and real-time.

Mike Ostrander has over 14 years of experience in information management, with 11 years of that with health care delivery organizations.  He has served in all roles of the software design lifecycle, including analysis, design, development, and front-line support of users and customers.  He has also developed data management systems for emergency medical services organizations in central Ohio.  In addition, he has served as a state licensed instructor at the Ohio Fire Academy and a guest lecturer for the health information management systems degree at OSU.

Mike Ostrander earned a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2002.
