DatA Modeler
SUMMARY
In this role you will be responsible designing and maintaining our data model and insure that it supports our strategic goals. This model includes both 3rd normal form and dimensional structures. You will also be responsible following enterprise data standards. You will work with a team in a very demanding, fast-paced, and dynamic health care environment.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design logical and physical data models in support of a health care data warehouse.
- Create 3rd normal form and star models including ETL mapping and logic.
- Support reduction of data redundancy and fragmentation, elimination of unnecessary movement of data, and improve data quality
- Participate and facilitate functional and technical designs of systems to ensure sound decisions are being made with current and future business and strategies and opportunities
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience
- Bachelors Degree
- Course of Study/Major: Computer Science, MIS, Statistics
- Related work Experience 4-6 years
- Minimum of 2 years experience with relational databases and data structures, data modeling techniques and concepts (e.g. star schemas or snowflake schemas).
- Experience using ER Studio to maintain and deploy logical and physical database models
- Highly developed skills for discerning wants from needs and determining core functionality requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to learn business process and operations and apply technical solutions.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
- Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree
- Course of Study/Major: MBA or MIS
- Data Modeling Work Experience: 6+ years
- Production implementation experience with Oracle Database 11g
- Production implementation experience using ER Studio
- Health Care Background preferred
- Industry experience preferred
- Experience/exposure to Meaningful Use Criteria, Medical Terminology, AHRQ Core Measures
